"Windsor EV: Build quality doesn't feel robust. Interior rattles and squeaks develop early in the ownership period."

"Bumpy Ride, Unsafe Car, Poor Aftersales service: 1. I bought the MG Windsor Essence Pro 53 KW in October 2025 and have done 5000 km since then. 2. On the positive side, it is a very spacious car with good interiors and feature loaded. 3. However, I don't recommend anyone to buy this car due to the following reasons: (i) Extremely poor suspension system causing jerks even on small rough roads or on a very low height speed breaker. I have driven many cars during the last three decades. Its suspension system is the worst. (ii) The new car's gear shift lever broke down after 5000 km ( within 6 months), which speaks volumes about its poor build quality. (iii) MG Motors' after-sales service is horrible. It took them 7 days to change the part. They don't have spare parts inventory and order most parts, which come from the Gujarat factory. That is why delay is common. (iv) Barring exception, as per the company policy, they don't provide an alternate car during the service period, causing you huge financial loss in hiring the same from the market. (v) Many operations are through the screen. Setting the screen while driving is a big distraction and highly unsafe. (vi) Many Default settings of the car cannot be changed permanently. Each time on starting the car, you have to change the settings as per your requirement."

"Worst after sales service: One of worst ever after-sales service. My car is in the service centre for a complaint of a rattling noise due to welding issues from the factory. The company agreed to replace the chassis but on personal inspection it is found to be rusted chassis. Despite emails to the Country Head, Global CEO n CRM there is no response. You might fell good while buying but when the after-sales service is bad it's not worth."

"Windsor EV: Spare parts availability is poor. Genuine parts can take 2-3 weeks to arrive, leaving you without your car."

"It's been three weeks since the charger has been non-functional: , I bought a Windsor EV Pro from an MG dealer at Solan, HP, and got the delivery on 2nd June 2025. It took a good 8 days for home charger installation (on 10th June), and the installed charger stopped charging after one week of functioning. When I complained to MG on 16th June, I was given a number of Exicom. Exicom call centre instructed me to first get the car's BMS checked. The next day, I got it checked, which was ok. Thereafter, on 18th June, Exicom finally accepted my complaint. It's been three weeks since the charger has been non-functional, and after many calls to MG customer care and Exicom customer care, the issue is unresolved. The service person told me on the three visits he made that they do not have the required spare parts. I have many times informed customer care of both MG and Exicom that please resolve the issue, but to no avail. Even today, the service person told me on the phone that he has no information about when he will get the spare. Furthermore, he told me that Saturday and Sunday are non-working days, so if any progress comes, it will be next week only. So the matter is, a brand new MG Windsor EV Pro is standing still, next to a 7.x charger provided by MG and still in warranty, having only been driven for a week, out of 1.5 months. The customer care of both MG and Exicom is very bad."

"Satisfied with the interiors: Honestly, before purchasing the MG WINDSOR Essence Pro, I was doubtful about its range. However, after taking a road trip, my concerns about its km range were resolved. While the company claims a range of 449 km on a single charge, my car provided 400 km in eco mode. I am very satisfied with the interiors and leg space in the car. Overall, it is a good value for money. Thanks, MG, for such a wonderful car!"

"Best in segment: Best car you can get at this price. Also, the ride quality is good. Not like looting the consumer like Tata. Even the looks are great front part can be debatable, but it differs person to person, many like it. Also, the boot space is big. The seat recline angle is also good partial tray is missing, but can be added as an accessory. But then you can't recline the seat."

"Car broke down after 6 days of buying: My brand new car, purchased just six days ago for 17 Lac, has already broken down due to a system error and is completely immobile. This is shocking and unacceptable. MG needs to work on this."

"Caution -No BAAS. Luxury MPV: While the Windsor EV ads suggest its price to be low citing the BAAS option, interested buyers need to know that bAAS is currently available only in 5 metro cities through Vidyut as a finance partner. In other areas, there is no BAAS, only a buyout of battery. Sales might mislead saying 6000 per month EMI which translates to owning the battery. If only MG provided BAAS in all areas their claim would be right. Now it falls under the Consumer Protection Act 2019 -restrictive trade practices /unfair trade practices/misleading advertising. 2. The lower end starting at 9.99 is of no use as it doesn’t have a rearview camera for that size and its wheel base is shorter. No color variants either. 3. Only top-end essence has the desired features of the electric car and luxury. The mid variant also is available only in 2 colors. No sunroof. Even in the top end, the sunroof doesn’t open. 4. No spare tire is given along with the car. 5. All controls need to be preset before the start of the drive, not during the drive. 6. The battery mileage range isn’t great. Only 250-280 kms."

From start to end you will get all the updates by them without any hesitation. 1. Range Anxiety? No worries at all. Be planned, be calculative, be patient and this car will take care of your luxury, comfort, and safety too. 2. Features? All in one featured car till now. It gives you the ability to drive without getting bored. All features do the job to give you the best driving experience. 3. Looks? Totally a turner because of the futuristic design. Everyone will give you thumbs when they see the car in real because in pictures its massive size doesn’t get recognized but in real it’s a big car. Performance is power-packed depending on your driving style. If you speed up you will feel the power but battery power will not going to support you then. Highway Drive is super cool, and City Drive is pretty awesome. Pros- Regenerative braking helps in the city and on highways the suspensions are good. Headlights do their job effectively, steering is responsive, spacious in and out, front and back reclining seats are comfortable, a moonroof is fantastic, 360 camera is helpful, Parking sensors are good, AC works great, boot space is more than enough. Cons- Display commands are ok. Voice control doesn’t work many times, suspensions are a little stiff but work smoothly, front facia might not give you the SUV or boxy feel but it’s a new Gen car so the choice is yours. Verdict - - EV cars are the future and this car is a perfect example. It saves a lot of costs on a day-to-day basis. -Don’t reject this from your list just because of its front facia. - It has power, performance, comfort along with luxury. - It’s a perfect family car"
