"Automotive Magazine Article: If you're speaking of India's compact SUV market, you can't help but mention the Brezza. From its launch in 2016, Maruti Suzuki's compact SUV has built an ever-growing fan base quietly. It doesn't scream for attention with outlandish styling, nor does it pursue performance bragging rights ? it plays the long game. Reliability, practicality, and reasonable running costs have always been its trump cards. Today, in 2025, the Brezza is back with a minimalist facelift, cleverer tech, and a more robust safety package. In a segment where competitors are becoming more flashy and aggressive, Maruti has staked everything on finesse and understatement. The question is ? in 2025, is that sufficient to remain ahead of the pack? --- Design ? Familiar but New Come up to the 2025 Brezza, and you'll discover something comforting ? it still looks like a Brezza. The stance is upright, the bonnet is flat, and the proportions are purposeful. The updates are subtle but important. A more angular grille with chrome trim now bridges slimmer LED projector headlamps, the front bumper receives a more chiseled look, and the LED Daytime Running Lights retain their "eyebrow" look. In the rear, the tail-lamps are ever so slightly smoked for a premium finish, and dual-tone roof paint schemes in colors such as Sizzling Red with Black or Brave Khaki with Ivory add some pizzazz. It is not striving to be extrovert like Hyundai Venue or Kia Sonet but rather offers an understated, mature appearance. The highest trims are completed with the well-proportioned appearance by 16-inch alloy wheels, though lower trims still feature steel wheels. --- Cabin ? Function Over Flash Step inside, and the philosophy extends. The Brezza's interior isn't here to try and blow you away with space-age technology ? it's here to put you at your ease. The twin-tone dash-upholstery gets a layered treatment, with Maruti's new floating 9-inch SmartPlay Pro+ touchscreen taking center stage. The ergonomics make sense; buttons are precisely where you'd want them. The driving position is authoritative, and visibility is excellent ? a rare virtue in today's SUVs with high beltlines. Space is one of the Brezza's selling points. Front seats are well padded with a decent level of lumbar support, and the rear bench seat provides generous headroom and knee room, even for the tallest occupants. Three adults can fit in the back with little hassle on the near-flat floor. The 328-litre boot isn't the biggest in the class but is well-shaped and simple to load. Build quality is uniform ? no quirky panel gaps or flexy sections ? but harsh plastics prevail. They sound firm enough, but those of a Sonet or Nexon may be shortchanged the soft-touch luxury. --- Tech & Features ? Where It Matters Today Maruti has been consistently closing the gap in the war of features, and the 2025 Brezza is no exception. Depending on which variant, you have: 9-inch SmartPlay Pro+ infotainment with wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay Heads-Up Display (HUD) ? not standard at this level 360-degree camera to facilitate easy parking Wireless charging pad Cruise control Dual Type-A and Type-C USB ports rear air conditioning vents Electric sunroof (not panoramic) Suzuki Connect vehicle connectivity technology It is simple to operate, although wireless CarPlay is temperamental ? something which is true for the majority of vehicles, not just this one. The audio quality is acceptable but will not blow away enthusiasts. --- Calm and Collected ? Performance Powering the Brezza is Maruti's tried-and-tested 1.5-litre K15C petrol engine ? 102 bhp, 136 Nm of torque. You get a choice between a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic (with paddle shifters). There's mild-hybrid assistance on higher trims, and there's even a CNG option for the thrifty one. It is not a car you're tempted to thrash. Instead, it rewards easy, smooth driving. In town, the light weight, excellent visibility, and linear power delivery make it a pleasure to navigate traffic. On the freeway, it will cruise happily at 100?110 km/h, with minimal engine noise. The fans will miss the turbo-petrol thump of competition, but for routine driving, the engine's smoothness and dependability are evident. Ride quality is a touch firm in low-speed conditions, but on high-speed roads, it glides beautifully, eats up bumps without complaint. Mileage figures are another benefit: Petrol MT: 17?19 km/l (motorway), 13?15 km/l (urban) Petrol AT: Slightly lower CNG: About 25 km/kg ? unmatched running costs. --- Safety ? A Step Up This year, Maruti has been more serious about safety: Six airbags in all trims ESP and Hill-Hold Assist as standard ABS with EBD ISOFIX child seat mounts 360-degree camera in higher trims Although the new Brezza has yet to be tested under Bharat NCAP, its previous versions have performed well in international crash tests. The presence of six airbags across the range is an initiative towards safety. --- Variants & Cost Ex-showroom Delhi prices. LXi: ?8.69 lakh VXi: ~?9.6 lakh ZXi: ~?11 lakh ZXi Plus: ?12.8?14.14 lahks (best AT dual-tone) CNG is available in LXi & VXi for an additional cost of ?95,000. Compared to rivals, the Brezza is placed in the middle, but with very good value if you factor in Maruti's high resale and low maintenance. --- Market Performance ? The Crowd's Favorite Still Despite newer, flashier competitors, the Brezza is still the leader in sales. Maruti alone retailed 14,507 units in June 2025 and was the best-selling compact SUV in the nation. Its blend of sensibility, fuel efficiency, and Maruti's service network keeps it ahead. --- Verdict ? The Sensible Choice The 2025 Maruti Suzuki Brezza is not attempting to be the best fun SUV available ? and that is precisely the reason it works. It is simple to drive, comfortable, economical, loaded with features, and supported by a service network that is unmatched. If you desire a turbocharged thrillmobile, go elsewhere. But if you desire an SUV that will quietly provide for your family for years, be inexpensive to repair, and yet still present itself tastefully in the office parking lot, the Brezza is still one of the best buys you can make in 2025. Final Rating: ????? (4/5) ? Safe, sensible, and still relevant."

"Good Family Car: Good family car and provides good enough space for 5 occupants and boot space is also good. While style and road presence of the car is on another level. The 1.5 liter naturally aspirated V4 engine produces more than enough power to carry 1 ton of load in extreme to moderate hilly areas with a sufficient mileage."

"Old Breeza Slowly Going Out Of Market.: Maruti should change the design & shape for better look and comfort with higher ground clearance. Engine should be1.1 lit turbo engine with better power & mileage or should bring hybrid version of Breeza. Competition is with Skod Kaylq and Volkswagen upcoming compact SUV. Seating arrangement and boot space should be improved."
