My AC compressor failed and was replaced under warranty. Within a short time, the exact same issue came back — AC not cooling at a standstill. When I checked the service records, I found that only the compressor was replaced earlier. No system flushing, no deeper diagnosis, no effort to address the root cause. Now the same service centre is blaming the failure on “black oil contamination” and asking me to pay over ₹1 lakh for repair. What’s worse: The car was kept at the workshop for 5–6 days without proper diagnosis. The condition actually worsened — now the AC doesn’t work even while driving. Contradictory explanations from staff (flushing vs vacuuming). Multiple escalations to Jeep India (Ref: 00161649) resulted in zero accountability. Even after filing a complaint on the consumer helpline, there has been no meaningful response. I had no option but to get the car repaired outside due to daily usage. The real issue is not just the failure — it’s the complete lack of ownership and support from both the service centre and the brand. If you’re considering this car, don’t just look at features or driving experience. Ask yourself: What happens when something goes wrong? Because in my case, you’re on your own. Extremely disappointing ownership experience."
